| When I put my CD in the cd-rom, it doesn't appear on the screen? | | So when I put my cd into the cd-rom, it loads a little bit, and then nothing happens. I try to go to My computer and find it but its not there. I expected it to automatically start but.. I'm really bad at this so I don't know what do to, or find it. And some of you say that I have to go to device manager and such, but my computer's language is in norwegian so I don't know that is. Please explain in a simple term for me. Thanks a lot! | |

| Problem with the CD-ROM | | For some days, if I insert any CD which is written by us( Not company made),my system is not detecting the content of CD and it is showing like the CD is empty and if we see the capacity of the CD in the properties window, it is always showing as "Free space-702 MB.Total space -702MB". But it worked well few months back. If we insert any CD which is Original(Company made), then I am able to see the content of the CD. I have 4 systems. Two of the systems are behaving in the same way. Is there any driver to install additionally? But I don't remember of installing any driver for that as I have installed the OS many time earlier, it worked well. The main this to point our here is, I will be using these two systems for my online activities. But I am not able to see any virus in one system and I suspect the presence of virus in my Laptop. When I tried to install the OS, I am not able to do that, because of the above issue.Kindly suggest some solution to this issue. | |

| run dvd on cd-rom drive. | | did you know you could run a dvd on a normal cd rom drive??here is how to do it..a dvd has shorter pits than a normal cd,so all you need to do is adjust the laser head.open your cd-rom drive,you will see the lens on the rail,that's the laser head.on its side there is a small screw that you can adjustthe screw adjusts the size of laser beam that lands on cd.i did some calculations,so turning the screw 2-3 times will do the trick.i hope the dvd companies don't sue me for this!! lol..t, because of the above issue.Kindly suggest some solution to this issue. | |
| | Who still uses CD-ROM? | | Just asking about this legacy media the CD-ROM. Lots of medias today are DVD formats except for music medias. All my VCD's here at home original/copy, I got them distributed anywhere. So as my CD games, I make them ISO and burned it on a DVD. I cleaned all CD formats in this house. Softwares?.. hmmm I throw them somewhere because I hate it software easily changes version. and for drivers can be downloaded free on the manufacturers site.Except for music audio CDs. I kept them of course with some signature of the local artists here. hehe | |

| | CD-ROM not displaying on my computer? | | I need help this time also, today i unpluged the CD drive and changed to another one but it was not displayed. So, i changed back to the old one but same thing happened. Please somebody help me on this issue, i don't want to take it to some engineers as the charge is too high. I ask a lot of computer stuffs and always get the answers here so, hoping this time also i'll get a solution to my problem. I am a first year CNA and my job involves reading and documenting vital signs. Before I started school, I had never taken a blood pressure reading in my life and there is still room for improvement. I know the basics of reading systolic and diastolic measurements but clearly hearing the thumping of the artery seems to be my biggest hurdle.Thanks to anyone that can tell me if I can order training info on blood pressure readings for nurses. | |
