What Others are Saying About Computer Monitor: | | Want to use TV as a computer monitor | | I have a desktop with following configuration, Pentium 4, 1.60GHz, 256MB RAM, 40GB HDD (PATA), no Graphics card, 2003 make. I want to use my 21 inch tv as a monitor for my pc. I don't want to use tv adaptor to connect tv and my pc does not have a slot to install latest graphics card on it. Old models of graphics card is not available here either. Is there any way i can get quality display on my tv without spending much on my pc hardware upgradation? | |
| | Computer Monitor Problem - Please Help!!! | | We have a Samsung SyncMaster 711 MP Computer/lcd tv Monitor that loos like it's on the way out. A few days ago, after I switched the computer on, I found that the monitor stayed black, made a "clicking" noise, was flickering/flashing like an electric shortcut and would stay like that for a few minutes before turning on. I hadn't moved any cables or anything and everything is connected securely.This morning I went to power on the computer and the monitor was just dead. Even the green power light didn't flash unless the "source" button on the remote control/screen was pressed. We have a spare PC Monitor that hasn't been used for a few years and hooked that up, it was dead too.My DH connected the Samsung monitor into a socket and rigged it as if to watch TV, the same flashing light/clicking noise was made. Unplugged it, connected it back to the computer and after a few minutes got it working again. Albeit it took a good ten minutes, and while it was "coming back to life" I could see the desktop screen in between the flashing.Would anyone have any clue as to what the cause may be, and... | |
| | Is your computer monitor big enough to read the webpage or websites you are on? | | I am using firefox currently right as my browser. it has all the buttons and tabs on the top of the page. it has about 7 lines of display. from Mozilla firefox header, then the second line hate the browser box, then the third line occupies the Getting Started, Latest Deadlines buttons and etc. and below are other buttons . so those alone occupies 7 line of web page. they occupy a little more than one third of the monitor screen. and so i have to keep scrolling the webpage down to read what is on the middle and bottom of the webpage i am reading. it is quite annoying i think to have a not so big screen. i am using a crt monitor. the old big, bulky monitor. wish that i can buy a flat screen monitor which is much bigger than the one i am using in terms of monitor screen size. so that i can view almost of the webpage i am in. so do you have small screen monitor right now. don't you find it annoying to use. it seems like a jurassic century to be in the small screen. | |
| | I'm having trouble with my new computer monitor. | | I purchased a 22 inch Soyo monitor from geeks.com. It has built in speakers. It did not come with an installation CD. I hooked it up but I can not get any sound. My microphone works through the speakers but any no audio from the internet. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to fix this problem? | | How bright is your computer monitor? | | On Monday that was the start of this new week, my table lamp went down. I felt almost as blind as a bat that had lost its ears. So I went all over the place looking for the replacement tubes but nowhere could they be found. So half-sulking, I have to make do without the extra light next to my monitor till I decide to brace myself for another session of tube-hunting.That brings to mind how reliant I am on this lamp. During the day when the light filters in through the blinds, all is fine. But when it gets into the night, the overhead lamp provides insufficient light for my computer activities. I have tried to tweak the brightness setting of my monitor. Yet, my eyes still feel uncomfortable no matter what through the entire range of brightness 0 to 100%.[b]How bright is your monitor?[/b] I am curious what your brightness setting is (I think the default is 50% brightness).
